Cobb County Codes
At one time, long ago, we lived in a rural agrarian area, and we could do more or less anything (legal) on our property. But as the county grew, wide roads were put in, and transportation essentially "shrunk" the county, we now live in a more city type of environment. As a result, Cobb County has instituted "Codes" (a/k/a Laws) that we as property owners, pet owners, and users of public streets must now abide by. The "Codes" can be found online at:
The Board is not the enforcer of these codes. Any resident can and may contact the County to point out extreme violations of the codes. We, as a Board, encourage ALL Lake Somerset subdivision residents to become familiar with the codes, and do your part to be a thoughtful neighbor!
Reading this website serves as "Constructive Notice" to all Lake Somerset subdivision residents, whether LSCA, Inc. members or not.
Should you have a concern about a code violation in our neighborhood, report it to Code Enforcement!
Cobb County & Georgia Watering Restrictions
Both Cobb County and the State of Georgia publish guidelines concerning the use of water at our homes/properties. This includes water used for things such as washing vehicles, your house, or lawn and garden. Also, watering using our lake's water can be done, but only by following the LSCA, Inc. "Rules" and possibly government guidelines. Some information on this topic can be found online at Water Conservation Info.
